Other ingredients

  • 400g chicken breast, thinly sliced

  • 1 tsp cornflour

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 3 cloves garlic

  • 3cm fresh ginger

  • 1/4 white cabbage, shredded

  • 1 carrot, in matchsticks

  • 150g beansprouts

  • 6 spring onions

What to do

  1. 1

Cook the noodles as the pack says. Rinse in cold water.

  2. 2

Toss the chicken in 1 tbsp soy and the cornflour.

  3. 3

Heat the oil in a wok until very hot. Stir-fry the chicken for 5 minutes.

  4. 4

Add the garlic, ginger, cabbage and carrot. Stir-fry 3 minutes.

  5. 5

Add the noodles, beansprouts, spring onions, the rest of the soy and the sesame oil.

  6. 6

Toss for 2 minutes until hot.

Tip: Get the wok really hot before anything goes in. That gives the smoky takeaway taste.

Good to know: Cook chicken until there is no pink inside.
